About us

Our Values & Mission

The Resilience Centre is a social purpose business building resilience in society in response to climate change and diminishing resources. Our focus is on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaption strategies and successful planning and delivery of Sustainable Energy, Water and Land management projects.  We constantly seek to reduce our own environmental impact and also that of communities, businesses, local and national governance with whom we work.

We reinvest profits in community and environmental projects to maximise our beneficial impact creating a virtuous cycle of green investment.

Our success comes from our active commitment to creating a more sustainable future. We are not afraid to question the status quo and use innovative thinking to provide original and practical solutions to tackle the challenges of climate change and resource depletion.

We value the communities we work with and consider them to be our business partners. We understand that community and cooperation are the key to a resilient society.

We're Award Winners!

We are very proud to announce that The Resilience Centre was awarded 'Best Community Initiative' at the prestigious annual Green Energy Awards, held by RegenSW.

The award recognised our work in developing our Joint Ownership energy initiative launched as the Resilient Energy Great Dunkilns project in St Briavels and hailed by a recent Government backed Green Paper as one of the most scaleable and beneficial local Energy Initiatives in the UK. As a result of winning the award we have also been nominated for an International Community Energy award held by ACE (Academy of Champions for Energy)which will be decided in 2014.

Our Joint Ownership model is now being rolled out across the UK where the Resilience Centre is working with a number of Resilient Energy partnerships to ensure maximum benefits from renewable energy (wind, solar, biomass, hydroelectric) are retained within communities whilst meeting the sustainable energy needs of those communities into the future.
